Description

The Pressure Sensor for Oil Circuit Transformer, designed as per CLW/ES/3/0035/I, is used for reliable monitoring of transformer oil pressure in electric locomotives.

The sensor measures oil pressure over a 0–4 bar range and provides a proportional 4–20 mA output to the locomotive monitoring and control system. It operates from the locomotive's DC power supply and uses a robust current-loop interface for reliable signal transmission in demanding railway environments.

Main Reservoir Pressure Transducer

Description

The Main Reservoir Pressure Transducer (MRPT) is used in locomotive air-brake systems to continuously measure the compressed-air pressure in the Main Reservoir (MR1).

It converts pneumatic pressure into an electrical signal for the locomotive control system, enabling pressure monitoring and automatic compressor loading/unloading control. In WDG4/WDP4 locomotives, the MRPT provides pressure feedback to the locomotive control system.

Fire Detection Unit (FDU)

Description

Fire Detection Unit (FDU) is an air-sampling fire detection system designed for electric locomotives. It continuously monitors sampled air from the locomotive equipment areas for early detection of smoke and potential fire conditions.

The unit incorporates two opto-electronic smoke sensors along with a suction system and airflow monitoring to provide reliable smoke detection. The system also provides visual indications for normal operation, fault/malfunction, and individual smoke detector alarms.

The FDU provides potential-free relay outputs for integration with the locomotive's control and protection circuits. It supports a pipe network with up to 20 suction points and a maximum pipe length of 30 m.

Description

The Microprocessor-Based Electronic Speed Cum Energy Monitoring System (ESMON) is a railway-grade monitoring and recording system designed for electric locomotives.
